Laura Plato is a 2001 RTIP graduate who is Director of Operations at the National HBPA in Lexington, KY. She oversees accounting, plans conventions twice a year, and does research and surveys for the 31 affiliate (state) HBPAs. Laura was in college in Florida where she learned about RTIP, checked out the program and joined RTIP. Laura recommends getting involved as much as possible in RTIP's events and activities because it opens great networking opportunities. Of her internship while an RTIP student, Laura says having the chance for the hands-on experience is priceless. If you are passionate about the race track industry, RTIP is the place to be.
