This is a Genuine G-Shot in Memory of the Lady T, Teena Marie, the "Ivory Queen of Soul a rhytmn & blue R&B who passed suddenly a week ago at the age of 54 during a party she had put on for her daughter and the late great "Super Freak" Rick James whom together they endured and tumultuous, abusive and drug-filled relationship. I had forgotten about Teena Marie, but with the help of my co-workers Cathy Osorio, Flo Taylor and my special soul sister, Amber Curran Bowman, with who we share a July 30th birthday, my memories were refreshed and I got to enjoy Teena Marie's music anew, along with many salacious memories of her being on "Soul Train", "Midnight at the Apollo" and "American Bandstand". This is actually Part-2 and uses their semi autobiographical lyrics of "Fire and Desire:, Part-1 is still not up to Genuine G-Shots standards and features Teena Marie signing to a small audience at "Soul Train" and segues into a bang-up performance before a huge audience with an amazing back-up crew to signify just how popular she became, the even that original video had lip-synch problems as did the second due to all the fancy camera angels and both need to be spiced up with some continuity to her amazing blast out of "Oh la la la.", Stayed tuned, it's coming folks! ;)
