Would that Tailstrike ave been reported as an 'Incident"?

to slow approach speed. so the plane does not flare over the runway with nose up.
-
I bet his rate of descent was around 1100 FPM from the way it looked to me.

@noof25 My friend... I am Airbus A320 type rated and I fly professionally. I can assure you that a jet pitches up in a stall. You can NOT compare the stall caracteristics of a straight wing with a swept back wing. A swept wing does pitch up in a stall due to the foward movement of center of pressure when the wing tip stalls. This is due to the fact that most the lift is carried by the out part of the wing as a result of spanwise flow of air. I am sorry but you are wrong.

did the pilot do that on purpose? lol
-
@frederikbak Actually the wing roots stall first as a part of the design so aieleron control is maintained longer. and no... in a stall, the nose pitches down, also a part of the design. i would not fly a plane that pitches up in a stall.. it'd be a death trap.

@flabmaster2000 Chinese. The tailstrike was given a shoddy repair and lead to the aircraft breaking apart many years later.

@DannyBoy20802 Ah, cheers mate:)
-
@OmsoiTekken It's an MD-90, the engines are too big to be an MD-80.
