I got this off ebay! it was homemade footage some guy was selling. I totally got it by luck, I did a search one day on "Galt" and this came up!

This wasn't the 1974 flood. The Grand River in Cambridge had several floods in the last hundred years.

This footage here is from 1948. As you see in the footage there are 1930's and 40's vehicles. Unless there was a old vintage car show downtown during the flood of 74. I would believe you but unfortunately this footage is from 1948 from a amateur 8mm video.

The flood you are referring to is from May 17 1974.

Thanks for posting this clip. I was in Galt yesterday and I love this town. I hope they preserve the buildings and history. I don't know why some people on here thinks this clip is from the seventies! It clearly is not if you look at the cars and the way people are dressed!

Mayor Doug Craig is a rawtin bastard that charges elderly parents $4,000 for permission to live indpendently in the homes of their adult children. Cambridge is a very hostile city towards seniors.  The municipal government elder abuse in Cambridge is outrageous.
