This was the taping of CBS Early Show which was shown TV on Sept 3,2009 Channel 2. It was held @59th Street and 5th Avenue in New York City for Free.....

I didn't read thru all of the comments so I'm sorry if you've already answered this question 10 times but I noticed Dean uses 2 Buttkickers. Does he run the same send to both or maybe bass to kit lows to one and band to the other. And BTW as a drummer I love this kind of video. Good job!!

@1mpuchalski its actually the hi-hat itself, its a 15" mastersound hi hat from Zildjian. Theres like air vents on the bottom hat which allows air pass through to get a full sound. and yeah, hes a hard hitter. :)

@ 1mpuchalski - Deen was hitting the hi hat with the right hand on 1, left hand on 2 while the right hand switched to the back beat on the snare.... all while keeping the hi hat a bit washy by letting it open up a bit.... Hope that helps!

deen hard hitter? uh yeah you could say that (but i woldnt hear you cuz we rehearsed wild dogs in a tiny low celing basement.. he isnt as showy as he used to be for sure... juggling 4 sticks and doin double bass that would make slayer stop and look...i found deen when he was a wee 16 yr old and blew me away...you can see him in 87 on my youtube page hes about half the size he was when we met in 82 kinda gives me a get hi to the greek feel..... hehehe

@1mpuchalski Dean is a hard hitter drummer...the way you see him hit his ride is the way he hits his hi hat. I took video of him on the side in the song Faithfully..check it out.
