@MrGuitarNGuns Yeah mate... Im about to fill out this 8 page form for my cat H licence, And when i buy a handgun there is a very long waiting time before i actually get the gun.. AUS gun laws suck. :(
But i do understand why its so strick.
Oh and @TriggerHappyLunatics Do you know anything about the Marlin XT With tube mag? Im getting it soon but im unsure as to how good it actually is.

Great guns. I sure enjoy mine. You might be surprised to know that even at black powder velocities, I know by personal experience a cast bullet will zip through Elk and Blackbear lengthwise. It took me most of my life to figure it out but those big slow bullets outperform the fast skinny ones - even though on paper they have twice the energy - on game. I'd not hesitate to take it even for brown Bears.

@WhitSpurzon With the right load, some people will testify the .45-70 will take down ANY game on the planet. I think it was Garret cartridges that made some pretty hot and heavy loads specifically for that purpose.

I have the exact same rifle. I wasn't happy with the trigger. I put a Wild West Guns happy trigger in it. I can't say enough about this trigger. I have dozens of guns and have done many trigger jobs but I have never seen such a change with just a swap of the trigger. They are about 90 bucks but well worth it. I also have very large hands. I couldn't get four fingers into the lever so I also swapped in the Big Loop lever. If your hands fit in the lever you don't need it. But get the trigger.

@sanity599 The stock trigger is not shooter friendly, I know what you mean. I will probably invest in a new trigger before next deer season.

Hey mate, thanks for the vid! I'm really considering getting this rifle sometime next year when i get my licence (being in AUS it makes things a little more difficult lol)

@MrGuitarNGuns I hear you man, wouldn't be too suprised if things start going that direction here in the states.
