I used to own an FT-2000, but that was before the "Noise of Doom" as I call it started. Right now I have an Elecraft K2 with NB and the NB module does nothing without me modifying it. It is a defective design IMHO. I am thinking of buying another FT-2000. I wish I knew someone who had one I could borrow for a day to see how the blanker works against my current noise which renders the K2 inoperable. Oh well. I hear the FT-1000 had a really good blanker as well.
