Walter Newman is a true hero. He willingly risked his life countless times in order to secure the freedoms we enjoy. That today entertainers receive the adulation of the masses is a sad commentary on the state of our culture. Walter Newman, THANK YOU.

That is so moving. I can't imagine where we would be if Walt and his generation did not do the hard, gritty, uncertain work required to liberate Europe from the tyranny of that time. Thanks Walt. God bless America.

What a great memory and tribute to Big Walt and all the men who served their country during that time. I visited that cemetery and those beaches many years ago. It's a moving place, and I can't imagine how moving it must have been in person.
