Loggerhead Hatchling On Sanibel Island Beach

while walking the beach on our regular Tuesday morning Volunteer Turtle Walk, we were surprised to see a Loggerhead hatching climbing out of a hole in the nest. This was the first nest in our zone to hatch. It was fun watching as it made it's way to the warm gulf water and swam away.
