Guys, bottom line is the fish got on the pier, Regardless how bad or good the gaffing was! Please if you have nothing nice to say, don't say nothing. These guys in the video are friends and this video wasn't and isn't here for people to brag about themselves or down talk the gaffing job at hand. Thank you

Holy shit. Never seen so much damn commotion over a fifteen pound king. Frustrating to watch. The first gaff shot was where it was supposed to be. Why didn't yall just lift his ass up with that instead of mutilating the meat all to hell?

What im trying to say is, how did you get the distance you needed to catch that king. Everybody is telling me that round reels are not the way to go for the pier. I mean how did you cast out a reel like that which is made for just trolling.

We use a zip line affect. We anchor with the tall rods and then slide out bait rod down the line to suspend the bait in the water. When the strike happens, it releases and your off to the races with the fish on the big reels
