I have a question.
I got a Canon 7D which has built in wireless flash trigger. I've shot two weddings last year but I used the 580 on board, bouncing. Does the built in wireless work fine outdoors ? Why pro's use Pocket Wizards so much??
Do I need a Pocket Wizard system?

Hi David, can you advise if PW Plus II can trigger 580ex II when the second is in Manual Mode? Mine seems to give no flash, only in ETTL. What's the problem? Please advise

Not sure what you mean here. Are you triggering two flashes with 1 set of Wizards? If you have 1 on camera, 1 connected to 1st flash, then set the other flash in Manual as a slave. This should then trigger the 2nd flash. (I hope this is what you mean)

Do I need to buy the Pocket Wizard with LCD screen on the camera ? or can I use the less expensive model for camera ?

No need to buy the one with the LCD screen. The Pocket Wizard Plus II's are perfect for the camera and remote flash.

Correct. You just put the pocket wizard in the Hot Shoe of your camera. For this all to work, you need two pocket wizards. One talks to the other. ;-) Enjoy!

hi, do they come with the cable for teh flash or I have to buy it separately?

Hi! The PW Plus 2 come with a small cord that plugs into the PW and the other side is a PC Sync. For Nikon SB-800 and 900 it plugs right in. For other flashes, I am not sure how they work. I think some Canon flashes require you to get a specially made cord. Hope this helps!
