  • Might not be Marines. I was part of RN Boarding teams during my RN service. We did exactly that, fast-roping from Lynx, and not a bootie in sight. Hard to tell though, but whomever they are at least they are doing it correctly .i.e. legs apart and not on the rope as the yanks are so fond of... boot polish on a fast rope=much faster descent and rather painful stop
