The Darkness - Amazing Scene (in HD)

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS VIDEO IS ESSENTIALLY ONE HUGE SPOILER. BE WARNED.

If you look up top ten lists of gaming plotlines most surprising turns, chances are you'll find an entry for "The Darkness." The game itself is pretty cool, interesting control scheme and stylized art direction but the story initially seems pretty stock. That is, until you hit this point in the game where you go to meet with your girlfriend Jenny in the ruins of the orphanage where you both grew up.

What follows is a huge surprise, and slap in the face of gaming convention. It also ushers in some of the more bizarre levels of the game. And it's made all the more emotionally powerful by the events which unfolded before you got to this point. Masterful.

This video already exists on youtube but I had yet to see one in HD so I decided to do a quick playthrough to this point and capture it in glorious Hi Def for your viewing pleasure. Or horror.

Man this was a great scene...The Darkness's voice and the graphics are WAAAAAAY better than the second.

I really enjoyed the first darkness game... everything about it was just right.. the engine this developer used was good...I liked how if you pressed against walls you would hold the guns up etc. I also liked the different abilities you could have, like the crawling demon arms, different darklings if i remember right..the 2nd game just left all those things behind & just became another FPS. I did enjoy the 2nd games storyline..just not so much the gameplay..gore was good though! Just my opinion.

Bought this game last year for $4 at gamestop. SCORE! one of the best games ive played for xbox 360. i shat my pants at first when i was in "hell" killing WWI nazis. Scary, exciting, and well worth the 4 i spent.
