If anybody really and seriously wants to

learn rumba and see REAL RUMBA

MOTION, all he/she needs to do is watch

the cubans dancing rumba. And to dance

rumba you have to 'feel it', you have to get

at one with the druming beat. When you get at one with every beat of the druming,

every motion, every step becomes, more or less, something unpredictable. Rumba is not mechanical or robotic motions. It's not a 1,2,3,.....1,2,3, thing. It's

a great deal of feelings and emotions invested in it.

She obviously has never been to Cuba!!!! Because if she did, she would get kicked out of every club! Arthur Murray really fucked everything up when he himself could not do any of the Afro-Latin Dances correctly....Consequently, other people like this lady are inheritants of his fuck ups!! UNBELIEVEBLE !!! CUBAN RUMBA is something serious!! It's culture !!! This "Teacher" can't dance nor teach RUMBA !! It's annoying seeing her trying to teach people something she ABSOLUTELY doesn't know !! What about black movements? What about afro and spanish movements in this kind of "dance"? Cuban people please forgive her !!

there's so much distortion of Cuban dance styles it's justified to be promoting respect and recognition of the true and still vibrant dance form as it exists in Cuba and the diaspora.

The ballroom stuff bears very little resemblance and I'd hate to think there would come a day when the real dance is ignored or forgotten.
