The main Australian native fish tank at the Australia and New Guinea Fishes Association (ANGFA) Convention 2009 in Sydney, Australia. Fish include blue eye and smelt. All fish are native to the Sydney and New South Wales region.

Since making this video I have, by coincidence won this same aquarium in a raffle. Small world.

  • @adamonthetube Hi there, if you go to my account my latest fish video has mullet feeding. I love them :)

  • @kensington25 Post a mullet vid please. :)

  • @adamonthetube Absolutely. Galaxias can cope with very cold temperatures for sure. Smelt die very easily of shock so they need salt in the bag. Very delicate fish but great once settled in. I love mullet. My friend caught some mullet and gave me some. I never thought of keeping them but they are very hardy and very playful fish. Great to watch. You sadly can't breed them though but great and underated fish.

  • @kensington25 It is certainly an advantage to catch your own fish locally. Galaxies can tolerate bitterly cold water can't they? I have never kept them. I tried catching smelt. They all died of osmotic shock in the net. I gave up, poor things. haha

  • @adamonthetube Yes there are many blue eyes. Also lots of smelt and glass fish and some galaxias. In my home aquarium I do not use a heater as they are local species and have no problems with the temperatures which are a bit warmer than they would have in the wild any way.

  • @kensington25 I definitely use heaters in western Brisbane. The really northern rainbows drop like flies when it hits 13 degrees. Did I spot some blue-eyes in there?

  • feed these to my oscar's and jacks.

    even sleepy cod -_-

  • Thank you so much Dave. That is the tank I have won but I am waiting for it be delivered. I hope I can keep it in as good a state as there :)

  • What a nice clean tank William. You are taking such good care of your little fishies. And what a nice home you've made for them. :)

  • Rofl love fish porn :)
