Make faun(digitgrade) legs tutorial

Here's a much requested tutorial on how to make digitgrade legs for costumes. My apologies for not showing much on the furring process. Making patterns before you fur is the way to go, but i get rather impatient sometimes. ;) The glue i use is called Super 77 bought at walmart. A word of advice, though, DO NOT use spray glue on or near the fur. It's a mess.

Take a side view pic of yourself and print it out as light as you can on regular paper. Then draw shapes over your leg. Play around with it, you can make the extentions as extreme or as subtle as you want. It's easier to design costumes this way- especially if you can't draw people :). This way you get a "preview" on how it will look on you.

where did you buy your foam? i cant find foam anywhere, and i was wondering if it came in 4" instead of 2"?

@GayLordKills i got the foam at hancock fabrics, i didn't see any thicker ones left, but i'm sure they make 4"

Great video! How did you finish off the top of the pants/legs? I see you used some kind of green fabric to wrap around the hooves. Did you do something similar up top?

@senowyn nope, just a casing with a drawstring. then i wore a fancy leather renaissance belt on top of it.

Hi, great tutorial! I've been working on this costume for halloween this year and am about to fur my legs. Just wondering if you have any tips or advice about it. In the video it looks like you sewed in the front and back of the legs, how did you handle the waist area? Thanks!

hi so i have a few questions:

did u attach the leggings to the fur legs? i would love to see your whole outfit. i am planning on doing this for a costume and i was wondering if there is any specific accesories i should add. and i dont have the dummy leg thingys u have (lol) but could i paste the foam on with myself in the leggings ( i know stupid question but it never hurts to ask :) ) thanks!
