Did you by any chance tape the Giants third game of '87 vs. the 49ers, played with strike replacement players?

I'm guessing many folks who taped games regularly in '87 didn't even bother to record games with replacement players after the regular players went out on strike.

I remember the 49ers put together a really good replacement squad. They probably would have won the Super Bowl if the strike hadn't been settled.

you're correct.I didn't tape a single replacement game.The only thing about those games I remember is L.T. crossing the picket lines and playing the game on both offense and defense.I doubt we'll ever see any of those games on Youtube.

So many memories... me being a Niners fan growing up in the 90s... how many times did I watch the Niners play Favre and the Pack or the Giants or Cowboys or Rams... and all the while, John and Pat, Pat and Jon, there they were, giving NON-BIASED, actual play-by-play and color.

FOX broke them up- big mistake.

Trying to replicate the formula with Joe Buck and Troy Aikamn- sad.
