  • This is a great video, it really helped me as well. However, the cord can be obtained for very cheap. I just recently bought 100ft for only $8 from a local military surplus store. There are even better deals online. Search for "550 cord".

  • @Roland5679 Thanks for your kind words Roland. Yes, you are correct that you can get 550 cord very cheap. In fact, I used that cord in the early days. The cord I currently use is higher quality and I have it made custom. That is my preference, but you should always be free to use what works best for you! All the best and train well! Bob.

  • Hi Christophe,

Thanks for the kind words. You can find this cord at any climbing supply store. You may be able to find it at a good sporting goods store as well. I have my cord custom made for me at Sterling Rope Company. It is very expensive cord, but I think it is worth it and it is sturdy and lasts a very long time. Train well!

  • I'm glad you posted a video on how to wrap your own handles. I was wondering if you could tell me where I could the black and gray cord wrap that is on the sayoc neck knives, I've been looking everywhere for it and I'm not having any luck finding it.

  • And I suggest those trainers to everyone interested in Edged Weapon training.

They really are perfectly handcrafted !!!

  • Awesome video !!!

Thanks for sharing your knowledge !
