  • Preaching hellfire with the tools of guilt and fear invokes the spirits of the same name.. good, bad, and ugly. I prefer to witness with love, and letting my actions speak louder than my words. Otherwise, we risk much... Luke 17:2 "It would be more profitable for him if a millstone were hung around his neck and he were hurled into the sea, than that he should cause one of these little ones to stumble.."

  • Nice verse but ripped totally out of context. Luke 17:2 is for believers (they are the little ones). If you were applying that to me preaching to a lost world then you have misused Scripture. Perhaps you should read Luke 16:19-31 (immediatly preceding Luke 17) where Jesus preaches on hellfire. But I assume the "uni" in your religion does not allow you to take the Bible as inerrant and infallible.

"Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts:" Luke 16:15

  • repentandtrustdotorg: re: "Luke 17:2 is for believers" So, by preaching fear and guilt, no worries about hardening hearts and causing people to close their mind to Christ? God brings us to Him, not the opposite, so why do our SELFs need to expect to save souls by beating up people with guilt? God put Philip in the right place at the right time for the Ethiopian, not the other way around.. If God wants to shove His message down everybodys throats, why has He done nothing but the exact opposite?

  • No worries about "hardening hearts" - "He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him" (John 3:36). We cannot push people "further away" from God...lost is lost. Jesus commands us to go and preach (Mark 16:15). I disagree on your "exact opposite"... why did they kill Jesus and all of the Apostles...because of their friendship evangelism? I don't think so! They preached repentance Matt. 4:17,2 Pet. 3:2

  • repentandtrustdotorg: re: "We cannot push people further away from God" So, we can preach to people who don't want to hear it, and not expect them to take it negatively the next time they are approached with the subject again? I have found blessings in teaching, not preaching, the Truth in terms that a person can relate to, not what is going to make them close their ears.. We are not responsible for saving souls, that is God's job. It is only our job to share the Truth as effectively as possible

  • A Christian will not fall into pragmatism. He will preach the truth of repentance and faith in Christ alone (Acts 17:30) and leave the conviction and conversion to God alone.

What about Jesus and the rich young ruler (Mark 10)... did Jesus do it wrong too? Let's not forgot the warm fuzzies of Matthew 23 either, but maybe Jesus was wrong there too...not!

But since you mention Truth...what is the Gospel, what must one do to be saved?

  • @spiritchannel You have an excellent point and a beautiful religion. Why would anyone want to worship an organization that not only has no backing, but also thinks that they will be punished for not following rules that the organization made up. You have a belief system I can give the time of day to. May the Goddess bless you (I hope that came out right).

  • This is no longer about opinion or free speech. This is lying. This is claiming to know something that you do not. This man is a liar.

  • I love how Christians (not all, mind you) like to make fools of themselves. Idiots.

  • You need to realize this approach is not a good use of resources. I am a Wiccan and I have no interest in hearing some screaming person. You do not represent wisdom--you represent fanaticism. Why you would follow such a hateful god who wants to burn up everyone is beyond me. I looked around and found the Goddess in the natural world, and am at peace.

  • AMEN BROTHER.

  • What will you do? So the world is gonna end real soon and God will judge all mankind?? You do realize that the two biblical quotes at the end of the video refer to an "end time" in the same era in which Jesus lived, not in our time. This is an example of the kind of fallacy one finds one's self if a person takes the bible too literally. It is not the word of god, but the words of men seeking to convert pagan and Jewish people in ancient times.

  • repentandtrustdotorg: re: "A Christian.. will preach the truth of repentance.. and leave the conviction and conversion to God alone" I couldn't agree more. But I believe you can catch more flies with honey, than vinegar.. and leave the salt until someone is ready to confront their unclean spirits, when their heart is ready for surrender to God's Will.. unless you prefer to preach with assistance from the spirits of guilt, and fear, and having no doubts about trying to use the enemies tools..
