The euro is about to crash, The dollar will look good for a bit compared to the euro. As the stock market comes down more people will be seeking dollars, just like in the crash last year. that wont last for too long. There is a race to the bottom, no government wants their currency too high when productivity is so low. The only thing that can save you is gold (and silver). Remember currencies dont float, they just fall at different rates.

The truth is many intelligent Americans saw this coming 20 some yrs ago and have prepared for it. We will rally together and stand strong.. the bankers will fail when their money is worthless. No govmt won't take care of us - we will take care of us by the grace of God.

If it doesn't happen then good, you still have the gold, but if it does happen then gold may be the only thing that will buy anything. The US is fucked! The 21st century will see the rise of Asia as the most powerful region and the US will languish into a long and protracted depression that may last for decades. Americans have simply become fat, lazy and ignorant. They are gone!!! My advice... buy a gun and lots of ammo and stockpile lots of canned food.

@ovechkin100 What kinda food did you choose? We got some big cans of oatmeal, pasta, olives because I really like olives, mac n cheese boxes, spaghetti sauce just to name a few. They are sealed off air tight in containers and wrapped in plastic to keep any bugs and air out. I'd say we only have abuot a month and a half of food though.

9.25.2010 - who would have thought that countries like Japan and Brazil would intentionally devalue their currencies to preserve their exports? The exporters are scratching and clawing to devalue first. Its a race to the bottom. PM's are extremely bullish. Silver closed at $21.46 and gold at $1297 today
