  • weak. i log press 750lbs on a regular basis. and i'm not even a strongman

  • @mine1username yeah i know what you're saying...but this goes back to an argument i made a while back with these guys being smarter and learning better techniques to lift more. but another argument i will make is that its more strict than it was back in the day where now it has to be fully locked head through and in control of the wieght.and wait for the down call. but there is no doubt kaz was strong.

  • @360muddin1 Oh one more thing. I won't deny there are several strongmen today that can press (cleanly) more than Kaz. Derek may be one of them, but I'd just like to see him do a true press without jerking jumping or rocking.

  • @360muddin1 - Yes Kaz''s lockout is limited by his injurys he had back then. Search for the Pure strength events on youtube with Kaz in them. Somewhere in one of those events they explain Kazmaiers injurys that healed wrong and limited his travel. My point is this, Kaz doesn't jerk or rock during his press. Most other competitors do. Kazmaier does a true press.

  • @mine1username and thats why derek is pressing what kaz maxed at for reps. i saw the video of kaz's 355 log and i will say the lock out ws very questionable.

  • Zydrunas and Pudzianowsk Have won so many events and titles that the only reason anyone will beat them is simply because they are older and tired. To beat them now would not be any great accomplishment. Nobody touched them at their peak. End of story.

  • @deltabrv just me

  • who makes that log?

  • no one beats big z at log lift

  • This guy is oviously a beast of strength, but that form is questionable. That form is what we all see in the strongman competitions of today. Bill Kazmaier on the other hand does or did what I consider a true log press. Bill litteraly presses the weight, instead of getting a jump to do it. If Derek would train like Kaz, he will be unbeatable at some point on this lift.
