I was a Corpsmember in the CCC from Session 93 1985-86. I worked at the
Lake Sonoma Spike, Santa Clara Center, and the Siskiyou and Auburn
Energy Centers.
In this slideshow I share my experience, complete with pictures, excerpts from my journal and commentary.
Most of the photos were not taken by me but were from the CCC Website
and Google image search and are used for illustration purposes. At the time
we were limited to traditional film and film was sensitive to the elements and
the camera I was using back then was a bulky Polaroid which instantly
produces hard print photos, neither of which was ideal for the conditions that
we were in, so photo ops were rare. Only a small handful of these Polaroid
shots were taken by me which you will see. Sadly, I've lost some of the
pictures over the years, not surprisingly after moving around for over two and
a half decades.
1982-83, Escondido CCC. Remember it photographically, just wish I could see it again. Hard work, low pay, miserable conditions. It was a good year, working outdoors. dina

Surfdawg, you bring back many memories with the Agnews portion of your video from 6:20- 10:50 as I too was an Agnews employees from 1980-2009. Do you recall a tall lanky kid named Jack Labelle? He later became an Agnews employee starting in the Property Warehouse. Great video and hope you are doing well!!!!
