England's East Midlands -- Making Landscape Matter
A Region of Surprise, Wonder and Delight
England's East Midlands little known, distinctly diverse landscape, ranges from the upland grandeur of the Peak District to the flat open Lincolnshire coastal fringe. Its low level of designated landscape has contributed to a tendency to undervalue and overlook this much maligned regional landscape.
The East Midlands Landscape Partnership is keen to address this. Armed with a robust evidence base its members are involved in a range of initiatives to raise its understanding and profile, advocate the concept of landscape as a unifying framework and help plan and deliver positive action and change for the landscape and its communities.
This film forms part of the Partnership's submission to the Landscape Institute for a UK Landscape Award 2010.
