  • Great video but I also can not make out what is being typed in... gychang

  • @gychang00 If you increase the quality to 480p, you should be able to read the text.. it's actually surprisingly readable.

  • @igneousphantom, thanks again, will be watching it again when I get home while installing. What changes will I have to make for LXDE install?

  • @gychang00 not much.. I'm pretty sure there's an "lxde" metapackage that you can install, and it will grab all of the various lxde components, and install them.. It may or may not install a display manager.. if it does, I guess you're done there.. otherwise you may need to add 'exec ck-launch-session lxde-session' or something along those lines to your ~/.xinitrc.

    Good luck.

  • These videos are great because they help take away some of the mystery of building a system using Debian. However, the commands you use and the packagenames you select might be difficult to read from the screenshots. Some kind of overlaid text or annotations might be helpful. It is not obvious that apt get is really "apt-get". Also, for those coming from a gui environment to the commandline, I cannot emphasize enough the value of the "man pages".

  • be more specific and try not to screw up cuss we are not all experts here
