  • I've been using them for a few months and have finallly given up. Why? Because I'm still not convinced that they're any different to washing your clothes with just water. I also tried washing using lemon essential oil and they stank.

  • @Nibinaear maybe your clothes are just nasty or something because I've never heard anyone else say their clothes stank, especially if you're even using lemon eo in the water...wow

  • yes i mentioned that they're just as clean and soft

  • hi...plz next time just buy the shells not the whole nuts u can save a lot of money.

  • Question: Ive been using soapnuts for a while now, I use quite alot but on my whites, they just dont get the stains out. On my white shirts I still have the dirt mark around the collar and sleeves. I still use soapnuts as Im sure they are healthy for your body, (the idea of the chemicals and bleach on my skin worries me) but im wondering if theres something extra I can do to make the white pristine?

    Thanks in advance.

  • @122172639 The only reason we got into selling them is because of what they did for us. We were cloth diapering, and my wife could not find a detergent that would get the odors out of the diapers. She was googling what works best, and found soap nuts. She tried them and they worked better than all the name brands for the odors. Within a month of using them regularly, eczema that had stretched across my belly for years cleared right up. That is why we believe in them, promote them & sell them.

  • @Nibinaear I had a similar experience. I bought 2&was given 2 other samples to try of them... 2 of the 4 *stained my whites* with a pink-peach blob where the berry color had soaked through the muslin and it looked a lot like an old remnant of a blood stain. I was lucky that I saw it or else it would've set in the dryer. It was right next to the bag of ~5 nuts in both cases. NONE of the 4 got rid of the only 2 funky items OR deodorant smells on form-fitting shirts. H2O>Soap Nuts!(baking soda=win)

  • @buysoapnuts Gee, your page advertises your site/you selling them... of course you'll "never go back." You know, it gets really annoying when reading comments and a solicitor is on every freaking soap nut related video watched... unrelated to the berries, it's a bit nuts to go on a self-promoting spam spree-it LOSES business. I've used 4 kinds of them to compare, and none clean better than plain water. My whites got STAINS from 2 distributors' samples-pinkish peach blobs I had to treat+rewash!

  • @Nibinaear Making a liquid out of the nuts by boiling them and using the liquid works much better for me.

I have a front loader so I use 4 tablespoons or 6 tablespoons for a very dirty load. I seldom ever use cold water. All sheets and towels go in hottest water...GERMS!!

I also add some essential oil mixed in a little water to the fabric softener dispenser. (spearmint is nice)

I've read people recommending to put oil in the bag with nuts. Makes no sense. Rinse water, not wash water!

  • @taraburner Soap nuts just smell funny, and the lemon essential oil doesn't make your clothes smell of lemon for some reason. It doesn't seem to happen straight away it's after the switch once the effect of soap tablets have started to wear off and your going on just soap nuts. It wanted them to work but not convinced yet.
