1/22/12: Today we held the 3rd annual "Protest on Ice" (behind Mr. Hemsley's 8 million dollar mansion) to send a message to HMO CEO Stephen Hemsley of United Health Group that we will continue to fight for the elimination of all HMO's, whose sole purpose is to make money by denying health care to its customers. We want a single-payer healthcare system similar to what military veterans receive. Mr. Hemsley makes millions in profit every year but he does not deliver health care - just profits to shareholders. It's time to remove the middle men (health insurance companies) and do what is morally right for our citizens.
