No, we don't need another Sonic the Hedgehog game, but we're getting one. And who wants to bet that vast majority of you are going to buy it. Because that's why this franchise is still rolling after years of disaster and disappointment.
This video, among many others, is just another fantastic example of just how retarded and hypocritical Sonic/SEGA fans really are.
I know, it's just that I really didn't like any of the Sonic titles that came after SA2. Sonic Heroes was decent, but Shadow was a major disappointment for me.
Hmm ... which console do you have? Because I found Sonic and the Black Night and Sonic Unleashed for the Wii to be quite good, but as I understand it, they weren't nearly as good on PlayStation.
I would like to see a new Jet Set Radio or Shenmue, maybe even older franchises like Comix Zone, Victorman, Golden Axe, or Shining Force. Sonic may be the posterboy for Sega, but at least make a sequal for older games. Especially a new Jet Set Radio would be great after the ideas for a game on the Wii was rejected.
I don't want Sega to drop Sonic completely, but I think we do need a rest. Just a few years for Sega to invest in their game developers and get a better idea what they're doing, a few years for us to kind of forget the more infamous fuck-ups, then Sonic can return. And, assuming Sega will have finally learned their lesson, it can then actually be called 'Sonic's Triumphant Return.'
