  • @nevertweet015 They are the top 3 in the league, and I think the Ovi Crosby rivalry is so big because they're on rival teams and have complete opposite play styles

  • @xCPTxBigNaStYx and biggity bam how have instant mega hype!!! not to mention the league creates a big three senario with Crosby/Ovechkin and Stamkos(some argue it's already happened but when you look at the hype Stamkos doesn't get compared to the big 2 it really has not)

  • @xCPTxBigNaStYx you missed my point IF he said he was shutting it down for the season he wouldn't have to deal with constant questions about when he's coming back and just worry about coming back. Could you imagine if he did and the NHL moved forward with say Stamkos as the new face for example how much hype he'd get coming back ahead of schedule? Shero could have a press conference about something else and then at the end say "oh ya Sid's playing tomorrow"

  • @nevertweet015 but he's not shut down for the season and will probably be back soon, but while I don't like Ovi as a player I think he would be a good face for the league because he is really a hilarious guy

  • @xCPTxBigNaStYx sure you could do that but for a league thats desperate for fans you'd think they'd but the spotlight on someone actually in the lineup in order to get more people watching! as great as crosby is he's not making people watch while going to see concussion specialists! if he came out and said he's done for the year like pronger than he wouldn't have to worry about the media and just focus on coming back....and maybe he makes a surprise comeback before the playoffs who knows.

  • @nevertweet015 he's in the league, so he can be the best player in the league, the best player on the ice could be a couple people, like stamkos, malkin, giroux, or even the sedins

  • @xCPTxBigNaStYx "when he is playing he is the best on the ice" no one's debating that I'm just wondering why the NHL doesn't hand the best player in the game award to someone else while he's out injured and have him win it back when he is healthy since he's so great it shouldn't be to much of a problem for him.

  • @xCPTxBigNaStYx 12 points in 8 games is not rediculous Forsberg had 14 in 9 games a few years ago nobody was handing the best player in the game award back to him because of it, and 66 in 41 is nothing compared to Mario Lemeiux's 35 goals 76 points in 43 games after being retired for 3 and a half years.

you also said ovechkin is barely relevant anymore so why is it a big deal that Crosby tied him in goals?

  • @nevertweet015 he's the best player because in the time that he has been playing in the past 2 seasons he was putting up ridiculous numbers, 12 points in 8 games this season and 66 in 41 last season, last year he had the same goal totals as Ovechkin in half the games, and although he's been hurt a lot recently, when he is playing he is the best on the ice

  • @xCPTxBigNaStYx you didn't answer my question at all, WHY is Sid the best player in the league when he's played 8 games in a year? WHY doesn't he have to prove he's still the best ON THE ICE when everyone else in history did?
