  • So...are you the board op???.....you CAN"T be the main talent on the morning show lol

  • @valleyridger - Yes I am on the air. Watch some of my other videos, and my "Man I Feel Like A Man" parody song video that I wrote and sang. I have been on the air for over 20 years, most of them on a morning show that was #1 in Utah for a long time. I'm a radio guy NOT a in front of the camera guy! I hate doing videos of me.

  • Just pay money and rent your own radio show on whatever station you want. That's the only way you can tell the Truth.

  • @toryvic1984 Yup that's right! However, I've been paid to do MY OWN show for over 20 years! If you are good you will make it...PERIOD!

  • Does this job pay well? like how much does the average host or producer make?

  • It depends on a lot of things. How long you have been on the air, how good you are, the dayshift you are doing. It can go from 100,000 plus to 20,000 a year. Average maybe like 30-40k

  • I did a video like this too.

    Ditto to everything you said.

  • Been checking out your videos. Its cool that you do them and explain things. I went to broadcasting school in Sacramento back in 89 I think it was, I never really did much with it, Interned at a station for a while until they got a new promotions director and he only wanted female interns. LOL Back then, there wasn't any computers in the studio. I have been playing around with Rivendell's Radio Automation system. I have a couple videos on my youtube channel. Thanks for your videos. :-)

  • @cwood4ever Any experience in radio will be an advantage, get a job/ volunteer before, during and after your degree! Make sure you get into the student radio aswel.

  • Thanks for sharing. I think I've just rediscovered a lost interest in radio. Do you think I still have a shot at age 34, and do you think my overall work experience, particularly my sales rep and fast-food cashier jobs will give me an advantage? Likewise, if I start an Internet radio show, will that give me an advantage as well? I'd like to see a video about what all is involved in show prep as well, for a talk radio show vs. a morning show vs. an afternoon or evening show.

    Thanks a lot.

  • And I'm going to Dixie lol
