UNICEF Cairo - Young Street Mothers Shelter

One of the UNICEF Interventions in Egypt is to support a Centre for Young Street Mothers, and girls that have been sexually abused on the streets.

With the support of the former dressage rider Ann-Kathrin Linsenhoff and her ANN-KATHRIN-LINSENHOFF UNICEF-Foundation, and through its work with the NGO Hope Village Soviety, UNICEF supports the establishment and running of a shelter for Young Street Mothers and their children. The project is composed of an integrated package of services that aim to provide protection and rehabilitation for girls that have been abused, young street mothers, and for there babies as well. In addition, they endeavor to prepare the girls, on personal and professional levels, to be geared up for re-integration into society.
