N905AM Landing/Takeoff At Middlefield, Ohio

Sally and I took a reconnaissance flight to Geuaga County Airport in Middlefield, Ohio on Friday, September 18th, one day before the Geauga County Airport Pancake Fly In to familiarize myself with the layout. Did not want to do that the day of the fly in when dozens of aircraft are trying to get into the pattern at an uncontrolled airfield. Fortunately, there are coordinators on the ground in hand held transceivers that assist pilots in staying clear of each other. This was the first flight for us as part owners of N905AM, a stunning 2006 Diamond DA40.

So I have a question, I still haven't ever flown with the g1000. What is the beeping at 0:49? I take it that has something to do with the g1000?

@goingtobeapilot When you open the glass canopy, the G1000 beeps to let you know in case you did not know.....

@BBec711 Diamond DA-40 is not a glider plane, but its design stems from a glider that Diamond did make at one time. Best glide - altitude ratio of any general aviation aircraft out there. That's why the DA40 has the best safety record in the business.

@andrebernier well, she rides glider planes and not long ago got in an crash in Middle Feild Ohio in October. With Mr. Nuss...was on fox8 news.
