What is it they are looking at? I'm supposed to be seeing a serpent right? Is that what that wavy shadow represents down the side of the staircase?

@Warrantofficer13 they didn't worship Satan they thought that a serpent was a powerful animal so they put a snake on most of there stuff. the Spanish thought they worshiped Satan because of this too. that is why they killed them.
