Super Smash Bros. Brawl - The 64 Classic (Semifinals)

Well, this is pretty strange that I actually made it this far. This is a Super Smash Bros. Brawl online tournament, which revolves around the original Super Smash Bros. released on the Nintendo 64. Only the characters from the original are allowed, and the only stages you can use are Battlefield, Final Destination, Corneria, and Brinstar, as they had counterparts in the original game.

I picked Brinstar for all three of these, as I've yet to battle on Brinstar for this competition. Needless to say, the game didn't pick Brinstar in any occasion.

Match #1
Luigi
Battlefield
Wow, he turns out to play a really strong Link. I don't really see very many particularly skilled Link players when I play online anymore. As a matter of fact, I don't see either Link very much. I played a Basic Brawl where I won a match as Luigi, so I decided to start as Luigi, which turned out to be a big mistake. Lord Danswich plays a mean air game.

I brought out my trump card in the second match, since if what he did to me was any indication of his skill, I'd have to use the character I know best, the psychic boy Ness. It looks as though Captain Falcon turned out to be the proxy for a relentless item-related assault...which is weird, as I turned the item frequency in my game back to Medium. (Or was it called Normal?)

Corneria
So we have another tiebreaker round, and again I chose a character who's towards the bottom of my ability to use effectively. Not AT the bottom, like Samus or Link; I found out Pikachu is great at grabbing items, since he does a "roll pick-up" and is a faster runner than Snake. The Star Rod is my specialty item; people seem to have an extremely hard time when I wield one. When one shows up, I make sure to try as hard as I can to grab it and to never lose possession of it.

@iLuvHinata360 Gardevoir blocks projectiles from opponents. They bounce off the force field she creates.

The second match is why tournament players don't use items. And Sakurai messed up, Kyogre is super effective on Falcon.
