this song was sung by lata ji as a tribute to her long time close friend -rafi saheb,not that she was trying to sing better than rafi ji.i think we heard this song in rafi's voice so many times,subconsciously some people donot anybody else singing this song.lata ji donot deserve this kind of critism,i am sure she wouldnot care,

Forget the comparisons. The Rafi version was a classic. Lata has also done full justice to the original song. Enjoy both the versions and revel.

no doubt lataji`s voice is best in females..but it does`nt has any pain as it was in rafi`s
