Scott Wells: Race Track Organizational Structure

In April 2008, Scott Wells, General Manager of Remington Park, spoke to the University of Arizona's RTIP class on Race Track Organizational Structure. Mr. Wells discussed with students the relationships that managers have within a race environment, including regulators, horsemen, and stakeholders.

The University of Arizona's Race Track Industry Program (RTIP) is the only program of its kind. It offers two paths based on student interest. The Business Path prepares students for employment in the areas of race track management, regulation and pari-mutuel racing organizations. The Equine Management Path prepares students for employment in areas dealing with racing and breeding animals.
