I don't know why people are being so racist... This song is about southern ways as in living free in the country and just loving life no matter what stands in your way. Skynyrd wasn't racist (Curtis Loew - the song) and real southerners/Northerners (Canada) aren't racist. They are some of the best people you will ever meet. So stop this shit and listen to this music for what it really is.
