Think of it this way...a painter uses multiple kinds of stroke to complete a painting. As he layers one stroke on top of the other, furthermore, as he lays the last stroke, we only see and appreciate the last strokes. The first strokes, as important as they are, (fundamental is the word) would be the "junk" DNA as those same strokes will present themselves among any other painting made by the same artist. Meaning, the argument could indeed be used in favor of a designer. Hope it helps.

If we did not descend from a common ancestor from the apes, why do we have the same junk DNA as they do?

I love listening to logic. On the balance Mr. Ross has very sound views.

When he debated the UW Astronomy professor, the professor was saying that Neutron Stars are alive. It was really weird. That guy had issues, so I tried to give him some tissues.
I know. I believe in common descent, as does Michael Behe. But he thinks it's just not the whole story. and r.m. and n.s. can't account for everything.

Yes Even Atheists like the late Steven Gould, said Random Mutation and Natural selection has no where near the creative power most evolutionists attribute to it, I think thats obvious to anyone who honestly deals with the data, clearly a more powerful designer is needed than just N.S. but for now that's the best the Un-Intelligent design (U.D.) people can come up with, Behe is correct to criticize that and some Christians who are just methodological atheists who also believe in U.D.

I really like Hugh Ross and Fuzz Rana. They present the evidence, THEN present THIER interpretation of it.
I do disagree with them about common descent, and like Behe's idea that common descent probably just isn't the whole story.

Ross and Rana both reject evolution and believe Man was specialy created, not common descent.
Behe is the Theistic evolutionist not Ross or Rana.
