I was there today. I didn't find anything, nor did anyone else I spoke to. San Gabriel river off the "East Fork Road" is supposed to be a good source for gold, but no-one has heard of anyone finding anything lately. I think it may be mined out. It's a popular destination for prospectors, but a very disappointing one......
