He plays so beautifully, I think I will buy this recording. He plays it better than many violinists, though to really enjoy the FULL experience of the Chaconne, one must listen to the great violinists like Milstein, Heifetz, and Menuhin (Milstein has my favorite recording, on my channel). I just wish Bream would give different character to the many voices within the Chaconne and bring out the more extreme emotions Bach wrote in it such as anguish and sorrow.

I like it a lot, this is the best guitar version so far and I have heared many.
If you are curious, listen to Hopkinson Smith's version on the baroque lute. I barely dare to say, but that one is even better.

too incredible for words, magical as well as virtuostic, not in his ability to play all those fast licks, but by the sheer beauty he transmits through this piece, whatever he was thinking about must have been something incredible...
