Academy Award® nominee Robert Downey Jr.* and Academy Award® winner Jamie Foxx** star in an extraordinary and inspiring true story of how a chance meeting can change a life. The Soloist tells the poignant and ultimately soaring tale of a Los Angeles newspaper reporter who discovers a brilliant street musician, with unsinkable passion, and the unique friendship and bond that transforms both their lives. The remarkable performances make for an unforgettable experience in what is hailed as a courageous and uncompromising film (Gene Shalit, TODAY).

  • @chilloutman13B no, it's a drama.

  • @v10moped chill out dude its not a documentary

  • Can anyone tell me the year, make, model of robert downey's car in this movie?

  • The real Nathaniel Ayers is relatively normal coherent person. Why does Jamie Foxx portray his character as a more mentally ill than the real Nathaniel, as well as exaggerating his speech impediment? Is he trying to win another Oscar?

  • i think it might be either jaared or jeff kashiwa, but ill have a look through my i pod for you :D

  • r u serious?!?

  • does anybody know who is the band that plays the intro music?

  • wow okay. i was just at midnight mission, you know, the place where they filmed a majority of this... a drug and alcohol rehabilitation center for the homeless.. and that is actually how it is out there. especially sixth street. its all horrible, but its real life, and its contained. the government barely funds, so that's what it's turned into.

ekydami, you need a reality check buddy. thats what real life is

  • He was not "mentally disfigured", he had a mental illness called schizophrenia. He was no way as scary as Lopez the journalist, he was the really mentally ill character.
