They took the French spelling of the name Stuart where as the Scottish version is Stewart

@MyLalinea Mary Henrietta, Princess Royal. This princess was daughter of King Charles I of England and Princess Henrietta Maria of France.

Not to be picky, but you forgot about James I's predecessors in Scotland, not to mention Prince James Stuart and Bonnie Prince Charlie.

Yes, but my intention was to talk about the Stuarts kings of England and Great Britain, not the rulers of Scotland or pretenders...
