He had been tracing lines all over my arms. Really it hadn't been fair. I lasted maybe 5 minutes before the combination of sleepiness and comfort put me to sleep.
**End POV**
**Sara's POV**
"No REALLY girls. It's no trouble. If your parents say you can, Joe says you can sleep over too" I couldn't believe they were acting like this!
Rachel: No it's not that. I have to get up early. Mom's taking me rock climbing tomorrow. I really would love to stay though, see you in a coupla days! *hurries out*
Shannon: I really should get home. Mom's been worried about Kat just as much as us... I should go tell her she's back. Maybe another night. Tell Kat I say congratulations again.
Bridgitte: I'd love to... but now I'm the odd one out! *laughs* Don't worry about it. I'll see you guys tomorrow!
And so we were left alone.
Joe: You're friends are all crazy.
I gently shoved him. "Be nice!"
Joe: I am *laughs and starts going through his drawers.
"What are you looking for?" I asked, curiously.
Joe: Well you can't very well go to sleep in jeans, can you?
I blushed as I realized that. "I could run to y place for some clothes..."
Joe: Don't be stupid. *tosses me a super long shirt* My dad swore I was going to grow into it. But I didn't. Now, it comes in handy.
He turned his back and I got changed real quick. The shirt had seemed super long... but it only just reached my knees. I didn't care though, it was a really hot night. "You can look now" I said once I was curled under the blankets. I covered my head with the blankets so he could get changed too. He slipped under the covers and put his arms around me. I pulled the covers down again, revealing my head.
Joe: Sorry your birthday was ruined
"It wasn't ruined" I protested. My hand slid up to touch my necklace, and he noticed.
Joe: I mean after that. Once we got to the party. It's all my fault.
"No it's not" I hissed at him. "It's Abby's fault. Not yours. Never yours."
Joe: But...
"No buts Joseph. It was NOT your fault and I will not allow you to blame yourself" I said forcefully. I meant it too. It was bothering me that he thought it was his fault.
Joe: I'm sorry Sara.
He pulled me closer to him and wrapped his strong arms around me. His legs brushed mine. He had a pair of sweats on, but it still made my heart race and I sighed quietly knowing that he was about to notice.
Joe: *chuckles*
"Don't make fun of me"
Joe: I'm not. I would never.
And then he lay his head down right above mine and I tucked my head under his chin. "Love you" I said.
Joe: Love you too
And my heart sped up a little more at that. I couldn't tell if he noticed or was restraining form chuckling because I told him not to make fun of me. I put my arm over his and started playing with his hand, fitting my fingers between his and then tracing circles and then kissing his palm. His sigh ruffled my hair. "You don't mind, do you?"
Joe: Not at all. Don't stop.
But, just to tease him, I put his hand back down. I stifled a smile as I waited for his response.
Joe: You stopped
"Mmhmm" I said vaguely.
Joe: You're a terrible tease, you are.
"Am I?" I asked, holding back a giggle. "What a discovery. Perhaps I can use this new discovery to my advantage?" I teased again.
Joe: You're crazy. And I love you for it.
He pulled me closer. His one arm still around my middle, but the one that I had been playing with now curled around me where I had dropped it. I blushed, blessing the darkness. But I had forgotten about my stupid heart. It began racing and he obviously felt it.
Joe: How do YOU like being teased, my Sara darling?
"It's more fun when I'm the one that's teasing you" I whispered. I tucked my hands around his arm that was securely fastened around my chest.
Joe: Hmm. I rather like it going this way for me.
"Naturally" I said, trying to sound annoyed.. and failing miserably. I was too ecstatic. His muscular arms were around me... I was totally lost. "What?" I said, realizing he had whispered something. My heart pounded more as he lowered his head down to press his lips against my ear and whisper again. I nearly missed what he said again because of the stupid beating. But I caught it.
Joe: Happy belated birthday.
And then he kissed my neck softly. Then my jaw. Then my nose. "Stop being such a tease" I demanded, and he instantly pressed his lips against mine.

well when i read it it sounded as if you were implying that you did not like reading it because it was not filled with drama. there is a point where the drama gets repetitive and i filled my last story with too much drama and i got comments saying that it was too much and i'm acting on that feedback to make this one less drama
