Both Corvettes have terrible lines and the only "Running Down" was due to traffic. Yes, I am qualified to make this observation.

I guess everyone is entitled to there opinion, however where do you see the "terrible lines"? I would not consider the on E30 that was flying thru the turns as "traffic"

Very nice driving! I'm not going to knock the guy in the C6 because everyone has to learn eventually, but this video is pretty impressive. the C5 z06 is my dream car. Well, given that I'll never be able to have a Ferrari 288 GTO. :)

The C5 Z06 handles slightly better on the track than the C6 Z06 at least thats the way it seems here at the Nashville speedway. But in all fairness to copmagnetcom , A good driver does make up where the car is lacking.

Bottom line is both cars are Excellent track cars period and will usually dominate everything else out there with a decent driver behind the wheel.

Nice driving, the C5 Z06 is a handful, always slides, rear end wants to jump upfront, and not very predictable.

copmag you cant get that much info just from a vid you gotta be there which you where not all i can see is a guy doing pretty welll oh and shoulda not of bought an 01 fuck 385hp 02-04 had 405 my 04 did 385rwhp stock just tuned since it was on the dyno.

i guy i know owns 2 vettes one c5 stock his daily car and the other is a C6 Z06 he started of at a driving school and now hes an intructor in our area he has told me repeatedly how much quicker the ZR1 is compared to his Z06 " quite frankly they are untouchable witha Z06" end quote i dont think a stock C6 Zo6 can cach an = driver in a Zr1 no way in hell

wait a minute...

the C5 Z06 is only better than the C6 Z06 at autocrossing I know that but the Z06 is the better at the track. The C5 may be easier to drive at the limit but if you can tame the C6 Z06 you can embarrass guys in C6 ZR1 vettes.

Haha! You're clearly a more experienced driver. The C6 z06 driver got intimidated and blew a few corners, got into the gravel a bit. You were catching him with late braking, but that doesn't mean you were going to pass him; that car is fast on the straights.
