Broken: A Camp Rock Story 3

Shane ate his dinner alone with his Uncle Brown who had suggested some family bonding between the two of them.

Brown: so… how is class. Are the campers learning the steps okay?
Shane: yeah. They’re doing pretty well with it.
Brown: well, what happened yesterday?
Shane: nothing.
Brown: you looked absolutely destroyed, pummeled, broken-
Shane: I get it Uncle Brown.
Brown: so are you going to tell me?
Shane: no.
Brown: fine. But if you ever need to talk I’m here to listen.
Shane: thanks.
Brown: did they ever get your allergy list?
Shane: yeah, they did.
Brown: I wonder if any other campers have allergies.
Shane: they didn’t write them down on the ‘need to know’ sheet?!
Brown: no they did. I just don’t have them memorized.
Shane: oh good thing you have them at least.

*with Tess*

Tess was racking her brain for ideas. She had so far only humiliated Mitchie and made fun of her weight. She was almost out of ideas. Yes that is very sad considering that she had only done two things. That is when she thought of the perfect thing. Since Mitchie was so easily pressured, she could attempt something very dangerous. Slowly she crept into Brown’s office, towards his file cabinet, and opening it to his ‘camper information cabinet’. She searched through before pulling out one. It read:

Camper: Mitchie Torres
Age: 14 (author’s note: people always say she is 16 in the movie but she isn’t. she is fourteen. I checked.)
Parents: Steve and Connie Torres
Phone number: (***) ***-**** (fill in your own numbers)
Other family numbers/ call in emergency: (***) ***-****
Allergies: none
Medical conditions: asthma
Need to know: asthma- can get very severe

Tess smiled. This was perfect.

Mitchie’s Point of View
I woke up to hear my stomach growling loudly. Does the thing ever shut up!? I know I’m hungry but I can’t eat without gaining weight so I can’t eat. Hopefully this will work.

Nobody’s point of view

Mitchie got dressed and walked out towards the kitchen. She stopped half way when she heard brown’s voice boom over the P.A. system.
Brown: Attention campers! Attention Campers! Report to the beach stage immediately.
Mitchie: *walks over to the area* * spots Caitlyn and walks over to her* what’s going on?
Caitlyn: all classes are canceled. We’re all going on a nature hike!
Mitchie: cool.
Brown: hey campers! So I know you’re all as excited as I am. Now I’ve made you into teams. Each team will have 6 people including their captain. Team A is (lists the other groups up to team D). Team D is Shane’s team. Come up Tess Tyler, Ella Chang, Peggy DuPree, Caitlyn Gellar, and Mitchie Torres. That’s it. Have fun!

Mitchie sighed as she walked up. She wasn’t going to like this. Not one itty bitty bit.
