Woody are talking like this was MMA fight. There is a huge difference between "street fighting" and MMA in general. Untrained people will not be able to block nor absorb punches, so a regular punch in MMA can be lethal out on the street.

The adams-apple is the same thing, never ever aim for that. If you for some reason really need to fight (defending you or someone else for example) then going for the eyesocket is effective. The other person will get even more disoriented than by a hit in the nose due to tearing up and overall blurry vision, and injuries often don't need to be treated. The jaw is also a safe-bet, there is a big chance you will break his jaw

(sry, was a bit tired, was a uppercut, not a straight punch) big, that was devastating. He ended up in hospital with minor brain-damages due to one of the loose bones in the nose had gotten pushed up against the brain. If i had punched him just 1 mm ( 0.04 inches ) to the right, he would have had extremely serious braindamage, or even worse, be dead.

There are also very many blood vessels around the nose, which can cause death by bloodloss by a unfortunate hit. So no, take it from someone

Under a period of my life a couple years ago i was a wreck and ended up doing changing friends to a much much worse kind. I was often in fights and similar stuff, and i honestly get extremely upset hearing this. To tell kids to go for the nose in fights is scaring me. Have you (Woody) even been in a fight yourself? i have quite a bit of fighting experience, if he throws a punch move into it use your forehead. i know this sounds like it hurts, but it hurts him a lot more then you would think. the skull is the hardest bone in the body you will break his hand with that one move. then go in for a palm strike to the nose. it will be an instant broken nose. (and for all those who think that by doing this it sends the nose bone onto the brain and they die its a load of b s) or send a bloack and an attack together
