Leading umbrella company JSA Service Ltd has entered into a Company Voluntary Arrangement with its creditors.
However its contractor employees will be reassured by the news that the firms creditors have agreed to the proposal, meaning there is time to turn things around and still make a profit.
Its biggest creditor is HM Revenue and Customs owing £10.5 million.
People working under JSA should not be affected as long as it sticks to the terms of the CVA.
There is no reason contractors will not be paid in the normal way.
In a statement to umbrelladetective.com the umbrella comparison site - JSAs MD, Rick Flood, saidJSA has never denied our debt restructuring which took place last year to protect the companys finances and most importantly, our customers, who are our number one priority and we will vigorously pursue any allegations to the contrary.
He added that the company is very buoyant right now and their financial situation very healthy.
