Composed & Performed by Spiro Cardamis http://spirosmusic.com.

Agiasma in Hellenic means Holy Water (Holy Liquid,Holy stuff ).

The main theme of the piece was composed on the spot at a private party gig in NJ during break time.
The host of the party Steve - a very nice guy from the Hellenic Island of Chios - kept offering us ( i.e. the band ) shots of TSIPOURO - strong distilled spirit - which was made from Chian figs & which he called AGIASMA to imply its purity & great taste. Hence the title of the piece "AGIASMA".

I remember playing the theme lots of times during the band's break in order to imprint it in my memory & be able to remember it when I would get back home....which I diid...recorded it ....went to bed....and when woke up the next....noon....lol... I added the middle part & the coda (finale).

"AGIASMA" is dedicated to my beloved Saint Agios Nectarios of Aegina for his powerful presence & teaching through the years...and was uploaded on YouTube on Thanksgiving 2009 as an offer of Love & Thanks .

"Saints are symbols of our holiness ....Our potential for the pure heart ! ".

Piano part played on my Yamaha P-200.

~~~~~~ HAPPY THANKSGIVING ~~~~~~~~~
Here is a short literature about TSIPOURO:
Tsipouro is a genuine Greek product. It is not produced in any other part of the world except Greece.
Tsipouro is a strong distilled spirit containing approximately 36% alcohol per volume and is produced from the must-residue of the winepress. The distillation process lasts for about three hours, during which the product is tasted for its alcohol content, and controlled by increasing or decreasing the heat. Finally, the distillation stops just when the acquired Tsipouro has the desired taste.
  • Spiro, thank you so much for this absolutely beautiful music video. I can taste the fermented figs and feel the Greek sunshine as I fly through space and into the arms of a holy man. Bless you.
