Barack Obama's energy policy seems to be based on regular maintenance checks for all motor vehicles. http://EmpowerTexans.com to learn more about the Texas budget and how to get involved. How would that be enforced? We asked our resident government regulator, B.O. Battle.
If you noticed, Obama mentions nothing about enforcing tuneups and inflation of tires. What I was arguing is, rather than further money spending and government expansion over an energy policy, if everybody started, of their own volition, keeping up and maintaining their cars (inflating their tires and getting regular tune ups), it would be a free-market, free-decision, individual based response to the so-called energy crises. I'm not defending him, I'm not even voting for him, but this is stupid

Obama is actually suggesting ways individuals can help save energy. This is speech is educational and highly individualistic. The video implies that some sort of nanny government interaction is necessary for a good energy policy, something I find ironic coming from a source that claims to be for fiscal responsibility. Indeed, following Obama's advice would certainly be libertarian solutions to the energy problem, without forcing any government on anyone.
