Excellent posting, brings back great childhood memories. Ok, here's a bit of trivia. Between 0:12 and 0:14 on the video, you'll see the list of animators. Bottom of the list is a chap called Bernard Dickin, aka Bernard Sumner (Joy Division/New Order). He worked at Cosgrove Hall, the company behind Jamie and the Magic Torch, at around this time, 1977 ish, which would've been the early years of Warsaw/Joy Division.
Jamies mums voice was one of the most comforting sounds from my childhood.
