It is worth a try. They will eat what they can I suspect. By giving them something else to eat that is closer to their diet, it may stop them from devouring the Xenia. Although some people might find that beneficial. I had a small Pencil Urchin that ate my Xenia, I never could get him to stop. Had to trade him in to the fish store. I would try the Nori, just make sure you get all natural at the store, and feed small strips at a time so as not to pollute the water too much. Thanks for viewing.

I fed her Nori, from a health food store, with a set of long tongs. I would watch to see where she was and then just position it near her and hold very still. Eventually she came over. I did this everyday. She would sit in my gloved hand a eat from my fingers after a few weeks. Just take patience.

Red slime was always somewhat of a problem when I had the tank. I have since taken it down. Phosphates are a big problem that contribute to red slime. Good water quality is the key to getting rid of it.
